BIOGRAPHY

Lizzie Armitstead is one of British cycling’s success stories, having risen up through the ranks of the Olympic Podium Programme after being spotted on the school playing fields at 15 years old.

In 2008, following an injury-plagued season, Lizzie wowed the crowds at the UCI Track Cycling World Cup, taking a hat-trick of gold medals in the points, scratch and team pursuit disciplines – officially announcing herself as a premiere talent in the sport. In the years since Lizzie has added countless accolades, taking wins and stages at major races around the globe, including the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games and world championships.
